Squad cars, Setting up road blocks, spike strips and SUV’s all play a part in keeping you away from that all important finish line. Police play a large part in NFS: MW, with racing sometimes being interrupted cop cars chasing you in the middle of races. Criterion give you the tools to race but it is up to the player to find out how to turn the car into a finely tuned racing machine. ![]() That said, the skill of breaking and utilizing the cars weight for “take downs” is key. Weaving in and out of traffic with these cars is fluid and natural. Cars feel responsive, even down to the low level Ford Focus. You will be racing with real world cars, but they are not realistic in the way they handle. If you have played the previous Criterion developed Need for Speed title Hot Pursuit, the handling will feel instantly familiar. The mix should be a winning combination, but odd design choices hamper what could have been a great racing experience. This year Criterion takes the helm, bringing their signature style, love of speed and crashes as from Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, and layering it on an open world. Although it took the series in a new direction, it felt dull, uninspired and overall an unpleasant experience. After last year’s foray into racing with Need for Speed: The Run the series left a bad taste in the mouths of many fans. These secret vehicles can each be accessed via hidden entrances, shaped like the iconic Warp Pipes from the series, on various tracks.Yet another year has passed and that means another Need for Speed title hits store shelves. Especially in the Wii U version, players can experience the secret means related to the “Mario” game franchise including the characters Mario, Peach and Yoshi. In addition, the game also has an “Ambush races” mode, which helps players experience the escapes from the police pursuit, police cars will be integrated into certain racing games ,in which the police deploy means and tactics to block and arrest players, just like the original “Most Wanted”. Similar to other racing games, players will compete against each other to see who won first place in the shortest time. Other races in the three types of events include: Sprint races, Circuit races and Speed runs. The gameplay in “Most Wanted U” retains the style from the previous “Most Wanted” games, allowing players to choose a car and compete with the players. especially the gameplay system for the Wii U. This is the ninth installment of the “Need for Speed” series of games to be appreciated more than previous versions such as “Most Wanted” or “Hot Pursuit” with new improvements in gameplay, story and special features. “Need for Speed: Most Wanted U” is an open world racing game, developed by Criterion Games and published by Electronic Arts. ![]()
